When playing the online version of the highly popular game, Left 4 Dead 2, you log on to a Left 4 Dead 2 server to hook up with others for cooperative online play. In part due to expanded interest in online gaming, as well as advances in technology, game hosting is getting more advanced, fast. Each passing year, there is more functionality, and speed and efficiency, encompassed in the game server.
When you log on to Left 4 Dead servers, you get efficient loading times, few errors, and high speed functionality. Who the baddies, or bad guys are, is going to be one of the first things you need to know when playing the game on the LD4 Server. As there are many different baddies on the L4D2 gameserver, read on for information that will allow you to be prepared for the different baddies.
When playing L4D2, the most common bad guy you will encounter will be the zombie, or the so-called “common infected”. Zombies are easy to kill, especially when they are alone, in just a small group of under three. When you get into larger groups called hordes, it can be a lot more difficult to handle these zombies as their numbers can stand to overwhelm you.
Another category of baddies are what are called “special infected” characters. Harmless at long range, the Boomer, is a pustule covered, fat zombie. They can, however, when they are close enough, vomit bile on you, which causes temporary blindness. Common infected zombies that are in the area will be summoned as well. The Charger aims to bowl you down before attacking. They have difficulties turning, so you have an edge there, but they are highly effective in an open area when you are alone.
The Hunter is highly fast and agile, and as the name implies, these baddies will hunt you down with stealth and speed. They tend to prey of those who have somehow gotten separated from their team, kind of how a lion or tiger operates. With the Hunter’s stealth, agility, and speed, you don’t stand much chance once they have you alone. The Jockey seeks to jump on your back and then lead you in the direction of fire, the Spitters, or even the Witches.
The Spitter spits out balls of stomach acid that, when stepped on will cause increasing amounts of damage the longer it is on you. She can be difficult to hear, which makes her hard to prepare for. The Witch is one serious baddie. If she senses light or an uninfected human, she will cast her gaze upon it. You might well provoke an attack if you do not shut off your light quickly and high tail it out of there. She is lethal and incredibly fast. Once she has launched her attack, until either you or she does, the fight will not end.
There are a few more unmentioned baddies we left out for space’s sake, so these are the most dangerous ones and common ones.
